Rural road campaign with David Coulthard

In January MBP worked with Newhaven advertising agency on a great project, it was a safer driving campaign and MBP was asked to produce all the behind the scenes photos and video content.

It was a great shoot not only for the alexa but it was mounted on a russian arm = so so cool!

And David Coulthard from F1 fame was the star of the show.

Arri Alexa and Fashion

As usual im very behind in my blog posts but I thought I would share this video that we just finished for Iona Crawfords new fashion collection.




We shot it on an alexa - and it was amazing ill post some pics. I've shot with an alexa before but this really did change the way I think about this camera, its just amazing. The thing I love most is the simplicity of it. Everything from the build of the camera to the post workflow just makes sense.

finally my book is finished

hogmanay edinburgh 2012

Each New Year whilst most people are snuggled up with their loved ones a few brave souls who work in the AV/ production arena brave the cold night and huddle around screens to bring the festivities to life. This year I was working with an amazing team from across the country unique events, mcl, CT to name a few to do just that in the only place to be for New Year - Edinburgh! I was vision mixing for one of the live stages and above is a pic of my view for the night!

Its not all bad though, I got to vision mix some amazing bands and reverend and the makers were AMAZING! 

So busy!

I've been really rubbish and not posted for ages! I've been super busy doing loads of stuff at the moment just working with Elph on a really fun project for a huge client and doing some nice animated graphics. Got loads of cool stuff to come as well, done a couple of really nice photo shoots over the last few weeks and ill post some pics soon. DOing up the house which is crazy - who would have thought that after all the hardcore building work the most mess has come from the decorating! Got some really cool projects set up for the end of the year and 2013 is shaping up to be Epic! Talking about epics trying to figure out what new camera to get. I'm very tempted by an epic or a sony fs700 or a canon c300! Really havent got a clue haha so many fun cameras to play with!! I promise ill start posting more cool stuff soon. Oh and I picked up a beauty dish last week which is AMAZING!

i'm writing a book or two :-)

I've been looking over all the images I have taken behind the scenes on sets over the last 10 years and I wanted to put them all in one place so I have been putting a book together on Ibooks. It should be finished in the next week or so and then I will release it to the world :-) I've also just got back from my editor the first draft of my technical guide on dslr film making which I will also be working on over the next few months whooo :-)
